ISMM 2019

The International Symposium on Mathematical Morphology (ISMM) has established itself as the main scientific event in the field. We will be delighted to host the 14th International Symposium on Mathematical Morphology (ISMM 2019) at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany. The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers, students, and practitioners of mathematical morphology and related methodologies, to present and discuss new advances in the field, be they purely theoretical developments or novel applications.

Proceedings will be published in Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science series.

LNCS 11564 entitled Mathematical Morphology and Its Applications to Signal and Image Processing is available at the Springer Shop now. Further information can be found at the Springer-Website.

New features of ISMM 2019

  • Online Access to ISMM 2019 Proceedings

Here you can find access to the LNCS article.
  • On-Site Printing of Posters

The printing department of the Saarland University and it's main library located on campus, offers the opportunity of free-of-charge on-site printing of posters size A0 or A1 to the participants of ISMM 2019.

    • Send the poster named firstauthorfamilyname-ismm2019poster.pdf to the contact (see below) latest by 3 July, 14:00.
    • the author will receive an email stating that either printing has been successful or has not been successful at the latest
      by 4 July, 16:00.
    • In case of successful printing, the poster will be available at the ISMM 2019 reception desk on July 8th and 9th under "firstauthorfamilyname".
  • Supplementary Poster Session

At ISMM 2019 we will host a supplementary poster session in parallel to the regular poster session of peer-reviewed articles. In this additional session young scientists have the opportunity to present their contributions and/or research work close to mathematical morphology and/or discrete geometry. We hope to initiate interdisciplinary discussion in regard to knowledge of mathematical morphology and related fields. The topics treated in the posters may range from already published articles, to software solutions, information about research consortiums, and future events. This session is also open for those authors who want to supplement their review-approved oral presentation by a poster.

Supplementary posters will not be peer-reviewed and hence are not considered an official publication. However, to ensure that the supplementary posters are appropriate and in accordance with the topic of ISMM 2019 as an international conference, the organizers reserve the right to reject proposals for posters or posters without further justification. To this end PDF-files of supplementary posters have to be sent to latest by 1 May, and the author will receive a notice from the organizers on the status of the proposed supplementary poster by 15 May.

In case of an affirmative response the author may proceed to the on-site printing process as described above.

Registration is now closed.
